EASTER 2024 PASTORAL MESSAGE
I AM THE RESURRECTION & THE LIFE
JESUS DID NOT DIE ON THE CROSS,
And You Will Not Die Either...
This may be an apparently startling and heretical statement when looked at with the ordinary understanding and carnal mind. However, the Festival of Easter is not about "death" but of the Victory of Eternal Life.
The physical body of Jesus was tortured and put to "death." But Jesus was NOT just a physical body. The "Being" of Jesus, His True Nature, put on the garment of flesh, an earth-suit, and in doing so, His True Nature was severely cramped, occluded and limited. This in itself was an enormous sacrifice, to endure the limitations of the fleshy nature.
But this was the only way that He could demonstrate that we too are in essence and potential, just like Him, Spiritual Beings. We are not merely "Human Beings" but we ARE Spiritual Beings having a Human experience.
In many of us the earth-suit flesh nature is very heavy and obscures any thought of things spiritual at all. The carnal mind is full of confusion, doubt, argument and despair, always attempting to rationalize and excuse our misguided ways.
A Powerful demonstration speaks immediately beyond our carnal mind to our True-Self Christ Mind. This is what we needed, a "wake-up call." The Wise Master knew this, and so He gave us the Wake-Up Call. "Hey, don't wallow in your misery, Don't despair, Don't just sit there and make
excuses,
Look at what I have done, "YOU CAN do it too. Come, follow Me."
Jesus was demonstrating that we too are not just this physical body earth-suit, which will wear out and die. Our True Nature is as Spiritual
Beings, which can NEVER die.
Jesus was showing us the illusion and misconception we have about who we really are, and proving that death is a hoax. In Reality we ALL have Eternal Life, Jesus proved it !
This IS the Great Joy of Easter, celebrating the understanding of ETERNAL LIFE and our Spiritual Freedom.
To make the demonstration that He did, enduring the extreme limitations of carnal nature, also shows us His Great Love and Concern for Humanity, WOW, what a Great Friend we have in Him.
Liberal Catholics are a People of the Resurrection, We Know and Proclaim the LIVING PRESENCE of Christ in The World, Today, Yesterday and Always.
